Think this worked well; I would ideally aim for each candidate to have to deal with two patients (alongside phone calls etc) as I think this adds to the realism of the ward round, as compared with one patient.

Good idea to have 2 delegates in at a time, but sometimes difficult to establish leadership.

Saw 1 patient - probably sufficient, considering that this was supplemented by having to deal with distractions (bleep going off with referrals)

2-3 patients are more than enough. It's about dealing with the stress of the situation and distractors.

One patient per trainee may not be representative of patients seen in a real-life setting, but the non-patient factors are arguably more important in these scenarios.

I think it was just right. When i listened to someone else doing the rounds it takes a Little to get into the role. So it was good that everyone had a good amount of time before change of roles.

I think this is practically a very difficult session to run. Not sure if simulation can really emulate real life experience here.... I think it comes with years/months of practice
